A self-taught musician since 1997, Pat Benolkin began DJing as well as experimenting with his own recordings and songs in 2001. After several early musical projects, Electricwest was born in 2005.

Cinematic, often dark, but nearly always with a dash of optimism, Electricwest draws its' influences from a wide variety of sources; namely Benolkin's vastly creative and eccentric mind, his loved ones and closest friends, and the ever inspiring contrast of urban life to nature in his home state of Idaho.

Benolkin also produces and releases lush, melodic ambient music under the alias Eluder, and can be seen and heard regularly behind the decks at his club residencies in downtown Boise.
